Description
Plasnewydd Farmhouse is a two-storey farmhouse featuring three windows, constructed from local axe-dressed limestone. It has a restored slate roof with coped gables. A lean-to porch has been added to the front (south) elevation, with the main door located between the center and right sections of the house. An original large chimney is situated on the left (west) gable, topped with a modern brick stack, while another modern brick stack is found on the right (east) end chimney. The northern wing has a lower roof and also features a coped gable.
The front of the house retains its mullioned windows, although modern frames have been installed within the lights, and the hood mouldings mentioned in previous descriptions are no longer present. There is a larger modern two-light window in front of the porch, with the door located to the left.
While not inspected during the recent survey, it is reported that the interior includes beams and joists with stopped bevels. Upstairs, there is a stone mantel on the east side, with its head corbelled forward and its original hearth intact, along with a stopped bevelled arched truss.
