Old Farmhouse at Pydew Farm

The Old Farmhouse at Pydew Farm is a 2-bay structure built from axe-dressed uncoursed limestone, facing south and topped with a slate roof. It features two end chimneys made from similar stonework. At the west gable, there is a lean-to also constructed of similar stone, which has been extended forward to connect with the main west range of farmyard buildings at the corners. In front of the house, the yard area has been informally covered with steelwork and galvanised sheeting.

On the front elevation, there is a large opening on the left side, which now has a rolled steel joist lintel and is partially filled with blockwork. To the right, there is a door. The hatch over the left bay has been walled up, while the hatch over the right bay remains open. At the rear, there are two loft openings, with the splayed embrasures of these former windows still visible.

The upper floor exists but was inaccessible during the time of the resurvey.
