East Range of Farm Buildings at Pydew Farm

The East Range of Farm Buildings at Pydew Farm is a long structure that has been whitewashed, with the middle section constructed of stone and the outer sections made of brick. All parts of the building appear to have been reroofed with large slates at the same time. This range runs along the east side of the farmyard and connects to the farmhouse at its southern end. A short wall at the northern end includes the northern gate of the farmyard and extends to the northern range. There are stone stairs leading to the loft against the northern gable.

At the northern end, there is a cartshed featuring an elliptical arch that narrows to a doorway, along with a window in the wall. The remaining seven bays of the brick section likely served as stabling, with doors and windows that have segmental arches. The first two loft openings reach up to the wallplate, while the others have segmental brick arches. The stone middle section includes ventilation slits, doors, and a window with segmental heads, as well as one loft opening that rises to the wallplate. The brick section closest to the house seems to have housed additional cartsheds but has been significantly altered internally; it features two elliptical-headed openings, two with lintels, a window, and two loft openings with segmental heads.

The rear of the building has been partly altered and extended, with a brick lean-to. The loft openings at the back are similar to those at the front.
