Description

Tan-llan Farmhouse Range is a farmhouse facing north towards a small yard that runs parallel to the road, with a stone outhouse situated against the road.

The eastern section is a taller domestic addition from the 19th century, which is attached to an earlier domestic range. The entrance door for both sections is located within an informally constructed porch on the left side of the older part. Both sections are built from local axe-dressed limestone and feature roofs made of small slates, with tile ridges and brick chimneys at each end. The original part to the right shows traces of limewash.

The eastern section has a symmetrical front elevation with three windows on the first storey and two on the ground storey. It features timber bargeboards and unequal-sash windows, with the outer windows having nine panes and the middle window having six panes. Stone lintels are present above the windows. The lower and older adjacent part has sliding sash windows at the top left, while other windows have been restored; this section is largely covered by ivy.

The agricultural range on the right is constructed from local slatey stone and has an asbestos sheet roof. It includes a brick-arched cart-opening located to the right of the center, semi-glazed openings on the left, and a door on the right.
