Description

St George Gate Lodge to Kinmel Park is a single-storey lodge built of limestone ashlar in a Grecian style, featuring a slated roof behind a parapet. The main front, which faces the driveway, has a central bay that projects forward to the entrance, supported by two Doric columns in antis that carry a simplified entablature. The sides of the lodge have segmental-headed timber windows, which are fitted with later applied external louvred shutters. Above a plat band, the attic showcases recessed panels and roundels beneath the cornice. The lodge has a polygonal face towards the park and includes a gable stack. There is also a largely concealed modern extension at the rear.
