Description

Later 19th century. Single storey gabled 3-bay lodge. Whinstone rubble, squared and snecked with red sandstone, bull-faced ashlar dressings, stop-chamfered reveals to principal windows. Blank ashlar panels in gablehead; stone mullions.

S ELEVATION: timber gabled porch on slender columns in re-entrant angle formed with advanced gabled bay to left; tripartite window on gabled E and W elevations. Modern extension at rear. Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slates. Centre, coped ashlar stack.

GATES GATEPIERS AND QUADRANTS: spearhead iron gates to pedestrian gateways flanking driveway. Rusticated and corniced ashlar gatepiers. Low quadrant parapets of whinestone with semi-circular ashlar coping.
