Description
Killiemore House is an early 19th century, two-storey, three-bay house that has been extended with a three-stage tower and a two-storey piend-roofed wing, likely added in the later 19th century. The building is constructed from whinstone with granite dressings.
On the south elevation, the original house is located at the center, featuring a columned doorpiece in the central bay, with regular fenestration on either side and above. There is a crenellated parapet over the center bay, while the outer bays have gabled roofs with attic windows and crowsteps, which are probably later 19th century additions. The tower, which is advanced and flanking to the right, has a jetted parapet and irregular fenestration. To the left, there are two advanced bays of a taller piend-roofed wing, each with windows on both floors. The rear of the house has various service projections.
The interior was not seen during the last inspection in 1990. The ground floor features plate glass glazing, while the first floor has 12-pane sash and case windows, and the second floor of the tower has 8-pane windows. The building is topped with a slate roof and has coped granite stacks with square cans.
