Description

Later 19th century. Single storey 3-bay L-plan gabled lodge (re-entrant angle now filled in) adjoining boundary wall. Whinstone

with cream sandstone ashlar dressings; blind slits in gableheads.

N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Slightly advanced and gabled central bay with boarded and glazed door and letterbox fanlight; bipartite windows to flanking bays.

W ELEVATION: elides with boundary wall; gable to left with window at centre; 3 windows to right with cement margins to flat-roofed extension.

E ELEVATION: slightly advanced gable to right with window at centre; single bay to left.

Timber sash and case multi-pane windows; grey slates; corniced ashlar stacks; ashlar coped skews with bracketed kneeler skewputts.

BOUNDARY WALLS: low sandstone quadrant walls with semi-circular coping; rubble boundary walls.

INTERIOR: not seen 1994.
