Description

Mid 18th century rectangular-plan house, large later 19th century additions partially demolished; the surviving fragments of which little merit.18TH CENTURY HOUSE: 2-storey and attic regular 5-bay front. render over rubble walling, rusticated granite quoins, raised margins. Modern part timber part glazed porch to ground; all single light windows, sash and case with 2-pane plate glass glazing. Moulded eaves cornice, central nepus gable with 2 attic windows with square-headed niche above. End skews, tall corniced end stacks, stack to nepus gable; concrete tile roof to front, slate to rear. Rear elevation painted rubble; many blocked and altered openings.

LATER 19TH CENTURY HOUSE: large 2-storey rambling gothic asymmetrical house formerly encasing the 18th century part, now partly demolished main fragment is to NW of earlier house. 2-storey, rubble with red sandstone margins and quoins.
