Description

Hafod-y-llyn is a single-storey building with a two-room layout and a cowhouse attached to the left gable end. The structure is made of irregularly coursed rubblestone, with some traces of plaster still visible. It features a slate roof with coped verges on the house section. There is an integral end stack on the right and another stack to the left of the centre at the junction with the cowhouse, both equipped with slate drips. The house part has a central half-glazed door flanked by windows; the left window is a Victorian sash, while the right window is missing its joinery. A small window in the right gable end provides light to the croglofft. The door to the cowhouse is missing. The interior was not accessible during the survey but is reported to have a two-unit plan with some evidence of a former croglofft above the service end.
