Description
Maes Mawr is a single-storey building with a two-room layout, featuring a former cowhouse attached to the left gable end and later lean-tos on the left and rear sides. The exterior is made of painted, roughly coursed rubblestone, topped with a slate roof that has an integral end stack on the right and a roughly central ridge stack at the junction with the former cowhouse. The building has three renewed 16-paned sash windows, two located on the left and one to the right of the entrance, all with slate cills. There is a gabled open porch that includes a round-headed outer arch and an inner plank door.
Inside, the two-room plan retains a plank screen immediately to the left of the entrance in the larger room.
