Description
Coedcae-du is a 2-storey building featuring a 2-room plan with a passageway to the left of center and integral end stacks. The upper room on the right is larger and has a more substantial stack. There is a single-storey lean-to on the left gable end and a single-storey gabled range at the rear. A ruinous cowhouse is attached to the right gable end. The building is constructed from irregularly coursed rubblestone, which is painted on the front and rendered on the gable ends, topped with a graded slate roof.
The front has three windows that are symmetrically grouped around a plank door with a glazed panel to the left of center, creating a larger unbroken wall space to the right. The first floor features 19th-century four-paned sash windows, while the ground floor has late 20th-century replacements, all with slate cills. Inside, there is a large open fireplace in the right ground-floor room, and two bolted A-frame trusses are visible on the first floor.
