Description
Hen-dy is a 2-storey building constructed from roughly coursed rubblestone with galleting, with part of the house rendered. It features a graded slate roof that has a ridge stack on the left side where it meets the attached cowhouse. The building has a long rectangular plan, consisting of a 2-unit house section with the cowhouse attached to the left.
The house part includes a plank door located under a simple flat-roofed porch to the left of center, flanked by cast-iron windows. There is an additional cast-iron window above, directly below the eaves. The cowhouse has a roughly central entrance. Inside, the fireplace at the ridge stack retains remnants of a mid-19th century cast-iron range and a bread oven. The cowhouse features a cobbled floor with a central drain.
