Description
Causeway is a structure made of slate rubblestone with some boulders at the base and quoins, topped with flat coping. It features a central segmental arch on both sides, flanked by tapered pilasters, with voussoirs and an arch-ring positioned below a string course. This string course extends to either side over square-headed, slate-roofed culverts, with two at the south-west end and three at the north-east end; the culverts at the south-west are still open throughout. The central arch has a rubble soffit. The parapet stands between 1.2 meters and 1.5 meters high, and the structure is approximately 5 meters wide. The road level rises towards the north-east end, where the parapet has partially collapsed.
