Description
Weirglodd-newydd is a pair of cottages, built in a long rectangular shape and oriented roughly from southwest to northeast. The structure consists of two cottages, each with two rooms, and an additional single-bay extension on the right cottage, known as Weirglodd-newydd. The cottages are constructed from roughly coursed rubblestone, with the left cottage, Brynarvon, being painted and featuring a rendered gable end. The roofs are slate with coped verges on the original right gable end.
The left cottage has 19th-century casement windows on either side of a 20th-century door located to the right of the center, and a ridge stack to the right, which it shares with the right cottage. The right cottage mirrors the door and window arrangement of the left, featuring a plank door and small-paned sash windows, along with a ridge stack that was originally an integral end stack. The right extension is set back and has a slender integral end stack, which is the only stack without slate drips. In front of the cottages, there are drystone walled garden enclosures.
