Description

The Medical Hall is a mid-19th century house and shop. It features a stucco exterior with stucco quoins and a slate roof that has boarded eaves and rendered end chimneys. The building stands three storeys high and has a two-window front that is offset to the right. The second-floor windows are square horned sashes with four panes, set in shallow moulded surrounds. The first-floor windows are taller horned sashes, also with four panes and shallow moulded surrounds. On the ground floor, there is a broad splayed shopfront from the later 19th century, which includes a central glazed entrance doorway flanked by two windows on each side. Above this, there is an entablature featuring 19th-century lettering that reads 'Medical Hall' in the center and 'Thomas & Co' on each side.
