Description

Marlborough House is a mid-19th century house and shop. The front elevation is stuccoed, while the left side is hung with slates. It has a slate roof and brick chimneystacks. The building is three storeys high with attics, and features an irregular arrangement of windows. There are two gabled dormers in the roof. The second floor has three 12-paned sash windows in reveals. The first floor has two canted bays with vertical sash windows. The ground floor is occupied by two shopfronts, flanked by chamfered pilasters and divided by round-headed doorcases. The left-hand doorcase has a fanlight and a projecting fascia above.
