Description

This is a three-storey house and shop, likely dating from the late 18th century, taller than the buildings on either side. It has a slate gabled roof with two roughcast chimney stacks at the sides. The facade is painted stucco, featuring flanking pilasters on the upper floors and a plain band just below the elaborately modillion eaves. The upper floors have two plate glass sash windows on each level, with thin bands marking their positions. The ground floor shop front is from the later 19th century, but has been considerably rebuilt. It features a fascia above a central three-pane shop window, a recessed panelled 19th-century double door with glazing and a 19th-century panelled house door to the right, both with overlights. Three 20th-century paired fluted pilasters with console brackets are present. The ground floor has been altered.
