Description

The Masonic Hall is a building constructed in painted stucco with a raised painted plinth. It is two stories high and features an irregular four-window arrangement with a roof that is set behind a parapet. The entrance bay is located on the left, while the first-floor hall is situated in the three-bay section on the right. The left section displays banded rustication that is treated as pilasters, framing a narrow window and door, with panelled tops on the three pilasters. To the right, there is a panelled door with an overlight consisting of two four-pane lights, and a matching narrow window to the left with a four-pane top-light.

On the first floor, there is a shallow oriel with a stepped underside, dated 1911, positioned beneath a tall 18-pane horned sash window that has pilaster sides, a frieze, and a cornice that aligns with the main cornice. The parapet above this section is slightly lower than the main parapet.

The right section features a full-height squared projection with narrow recesses on either side, a cornice that is broken forward, and similar parapets that are slightly lower on the projection. Both floors have windows framed by a pilastrade of four pilasters, which enclose three windows. The ground floor has a continuous sill beneath twelve-pane horned sashes, with the lower three panes of each light blanked in timber. Between the storeys, there is a rectangular panel in a moulded frame that reads "MASONIC HALL" in raised capitals. Taller pilasters are positioned above, between the first-floor long 18-pane horned sashes, with a frieze beneath the cornice and parapet.

The building is not available for inspection.
