Description

42 Spilman Street is an end-terrace house dating from the 19th century. It features painted roughcast walls with a raised plinth, a slate close-eaved roof, and red brick end stacks, including a small stack on the right end. The house is two storeys tall and double-fronted, with two 12-pane sash windows on each floor. The entrance door is slightly offset to the right of centre and is a 20th-century 6-panel door with an overlight above. The windows have painted stone sills, and the building has a plain eaves board along with cast iron rainwater goods.
