Description

1 Queen Street is a two-storey, attic, and cellar terraced corner house situated on Queen Street and Spilman Street. The building has unpainted stucco elevations and a hipped slate roof with two small roof lights near the ridge and a red brick stack to the left. The main facade, facing Queen Street, has a three-window range offset to the left, featuring plate-glass sash windows with slate sills, and a central doorway. Cellar openings are located beneath the windows. Two stuccoed steps lead up to the central doorway, which has six panels arranged in two tiers of three, with the upper panels glazed. The Spilman Street elevation features a single plate-glass sash window on each floor. In 1981, the doorway was recorded as having a stucco shouldered architrave. The building was not available for inspection.
