Description
The Normandie Inn is a 19th-century building featuring a painted stucco front that spans three storeys and three bays, topped with a slate roof behind a parapet. It has a moulded string course beneath the parapet, with bands marking the sill levels of the first and second floors, and a channelled ground floor with a plinth. The top floor has four-pane sash windows, while the first floor's central window is flanked by two late 19th-century canted oriel windows, each with 2-4-2-pane sashes and moulded cornices adorned with dentils. The band above the ground floor is interrupted to accommodate the bases of the oriels. On the ground floor, there are plate glass sash windows on either side of a central door, which is framed by a heavy stucco pilastered surround that includes a frieze, cornice, and sloping top. The central entrance features a six-panel door with an overlight, and there is an additional doorway to the left, which has a 20th-century door and overlight.
