Description
Berlin House is a terraced house featuring painted stucco and a close-eaved slate roof. It stands three storeys tall and has two bays, with a plain eaves band. The second floor includes two 12-pane sash windows, while the first floor features a large canted bay window with 8-16-8-pane glazing, which was renewed in the late 20th century. The ground floor has a late 19th to early 20th century shop front on the left, characterized by panelled pilasters on each side, a frieze, and a cornice that extends around the base of the oriel. There is a recessed door with an overlight, a single plate glass pane at the front, and one pane canted into the door. To the right, there is an arched doorway leading to the rear yard, which is chamfered and has a plain fanlight above a six-panel door. Inside the shop window, there is an altered iron post.
