Description
This building, which houses All A Pound, is a house and shop that forms the left half of a single design with the premises occupied by La Cave Restaurant on the right. It was originally stucco lined to resemble ashlar, but the left side now has unpainted 20th-century cladding, while the right side retains its original painted finish. The building features a slate roof and nogged brick eaves, which are covered by an eaves board on the left side. There are end wall stacks.
The structure is three storeys high and has three bays. The centre bay has blank windows, while the second floor on each side features 4-pane horned sash windows. The first floor has a similar arrangement, with the left side having a 4-pane sash window and the right side showcasing a late 19th-century large canted oriel window with a 2-4-2-pane sash configuration and a moulded cornice. The ground floor consists of shopfronts, with the house doors paired at the centre. The house on the left has a completely 20th-century ground floor, with an entry to the shop from a recess leading to the house door. The house on the right has a 19th-century timber shopfront.
The ground floor has been altered.
