Description
17 High Street is a house with a painted stucco street elevation, which was previously colourwashed brick. It has three storeys and one bay, topped with a hipped slate roof and nogged brick eaves. The first and second floors feature four-pane sash windows, with the window on the first floor being larger and both having a recessed head and raised keystone. There is a thin band located under the second floor. The ground floor has a late 20th-century shop front, with a door that is recessed to the right, all framed in painted timber with fluted pilasters, console brackets, and a fascia. An iron bracket that once held a glazed lantern above the shop, noted in 1977, is no longer present.
