Description
13 High Street is a two-storey commercial building with a stuccoed facade, forming the end bay of a three-bay row next to the Lamb Inn. The building features a moulded cornice and a canted corner facing St Nicholas Lane. On the first floor, there is a large oriel window, similar to the two on the Lamb Inn, which has plate-glass sashes and a moulded cornice adorned with small modillions. The ground floor has a late 20th-century shopfront, with grey-black polished granite on the left side of the High Street front and the right side of St Nicholas Lane, while the rest is finished in polished stainless steel, featuring arches that echo those of the Lamb Inn.
At the rear, there is a tall three-storey wing facing St Nicholas Lane, built in the late 19th century. This wing is finished in painted stucco, with the top floor designed to resemble a timber frame, featuring raised strips and roughcast panels above a moulded string course. It has a range of four windows.
The ground floor currently serves as office premises.
