Description

Waterloo House is a commercial building with flats above, featuring a painted stucco exterior that rises four storeys and consists of three bays, arranged with one bay on the left and two on the right. The building has a moulded cornice and a parapet. The upper two floors are fitted with 4-pane sash windows, with smaller windows on the top floor. The first floor has two paired plate glass sashes and one single plate glass sash, all designed with very small panes in the top lights, reflecting a style from around 1900.

On the ground floor, there is a six-panel door with an overlight located to the right, alongside a broad shopfront dating to around 1900. The shop windows flanking the recessed entrance feature two plate glass panes with top lights, with the inner window being curved and separated by a thin column that has brackets at the level of the top lights. The recessed glazed door, which is from the early 20th century, leads to a mosaic floor inscribed with "Tenby Drug." The shopfront casing includes pilasters with heavy roll-topped brackets on either side of the fascia, which is topped with an awning.

The rear of the building, facing Crackwell Street, is roughcast and has a parapet. There is a chimney on the right side. The rear has two bays; the right bay features a 9-pane sash window on the top floor, a 12-pane sash on the first and second floors, and a 20th-century window on the ground floor. The left bay includes a recessed six-panel door with two 12-pane stair-light windows positioned at intermediate levels above.

The ground floor has been modernised.
