Description
This building is a terraced house with a shop, dating from the 19th century. It features painted stucco and a slate close-eaved roof, along with stuccoed end stacks. The structure has three storeys and two bays, with large small-paned sash windows on the upper floors, consisting of 16 panes above and 20 panes on the first floor. The ground floor has a late 20th-century shopfront that imitates 19th-century design, made of painted timber with a fascia supported by heavy roll-topped brackets. The shop window has two lights with small-paned top lights and a recessed door to the right. The rear of the building, facing Crackwell Street, has been much altered and features stucco with a close-eaved roof and 20th-century windows that are irregularly spaced. The interior of the ground floor has been modernised.
