Description

23 High Street is a terraced house and shop built with painted stucco and features a slate close-eaved roof with brick end stacks. The building stands three storeys high and has two bays. It includes hornless sash windows, with 12-pane windows on the top floor and long 15-pane windows on the first floor, separated by a thin string course. There is a flat-roofed dormer above.

The shop front has been modernized and includes three thick fluted piers, with the right two framing a recessed house door. The shopfront to the left features plate glass windows, with side panes angled in towards a recessed glazed door.

The ground floor front room has been altered and contains two iron columns in the front window. The first floor windows are fitted with panelled shutters that have bordered panels.
