Description

The cellar under the roadway, which is connected to Jasperley House, features walls made of rubble and an arched roof that may be constructed of dressed stone or possibly brick. Access to the cellar is provided by a tunnel that leads from the cellar of Jasperley House. The entrance to the passage in the Jasperley House cellar has an arch made of dressed stone with a keystone. The tunnel is approximately 13.7 meters long, 1.8 meters high, and 1.06 meters wide, leading to a vaulted chamber that has a height of about 2.43 meters.
