Description

15 Upper Frog Street is a house with shops, featuring a painted stucco front and a slate close-eaved roof. The building has three storeys and two bays, with a brick stack at the right end and nogged brick eaves. On the second floor, there are two 4-pane sash windows. The first floor has a canted oriel window on the left, which has a moulded cornice, a hipped roof, and 2-4-2-pane sashes. To the right, there are two 4-pane sashes; the outer sash aligns with the window above, while the inner sash is narrower and may have been added later, aligning over the passage entry to the right. This entry is next to an earlier 20th-century shop front, which has a very narrow shop to the right featuring a 20th-century window that is splayed across the angle to the adjoining property at No 16. The left shop front has timber casing with pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice, with the upper mouldings extending around the base of the oriel. There is a recessed glazed door to the right and a shop window with three lights, top lights, and a fourth light canted into the door.
