Description
1 Heol Penrallt is a three-storey building featuring a three-window front made of scribed stucco with rusticated quoins. The roof is slightly undulating and covered with slate, and there is a slate-hung attic dormer on the right that has a small sash window. The eaves are supported by brackets and have a trefoil-decorated frieze that continues around a full-height oriel window on the right, which has a panelled apron. The first floor has horned four-pane sash windows with bracketed cills, panelled architraves that include mid-rail blocks, and lintels with keystones. The overall shopfront is topped with a bracket cornice featuring a toothed band. Flanking the two recessed domestic doorways are thinly reeded pilasters; the left doorway is boarded and studded, while the right is half-glazed. The left-hand shop window has no glazing bars and features iron columns inside that flank the entry, while the right-hand shop window has mullions and transoms. The rear of the building is slate-hung and includes camber-headed sash windows.
