Description
Braich-ty-du is a pair of two-storey, two-room farmhouses that form a long rectangular block aligned north-south. The northern part features roughly coursed rubblestone blocks on the ground floor and smaller roughly coursed masonry on the first floor, while the southern unit has regularly coursed and dressed rubblestone blocks. Both dwellings have a continuous slate roof with brick coping at the gable ends. Each unit contains two late 20th-century 16-paned sash windows with slate cills on each floor, positioned beside slightly offset boarded doors that have narrow rectangular overlights. The buildings also have integral red brick end stacks and a ridge stack shared between the two units.
Attached to the left gable end is a small single-storey outbuilding that includes a 6-paned sash window to the left of a boarded door. Inside each unit, there are 19th-century straight-flight staircases with a full-height heck screen located to the left of the entrance.
