Description

The Telford Milestone is a historic marker made from dressed Anglesey limestone. It features a shallow triangular head and raking chamfered sides. There is a cast iron inset plate with white lettering on a black background that reads: HOLY- / HEAD / 33 / BANGOR / 8 / C. CURIG / 6M – 3F. This plate also has the date 2003 at the top, indicating that it is one of a series of replacements made as part of a conservation program in that year. Below the plate, there is a benchmark on the stone.
