Description
This is a barn built around 1700, which was extended and altered in the third quarter of the 19th century, resulting in a C-shaped complex. The barn is constructed from rubble and has an old slate roof. The main range features entrances on the east side, with stable doors on either side of a gabled upper loading bay, and boarded doors along with a modern window below. The rear has a long catslide roof. There are gabled additions to the southwest and northwest; the northwest addition includes external stone steps and a parapet leading to an upper gable entrance with a recessed boarded door. On the north side, there is a cart entrance with a stone lintel and modern wooden doors, and above it, under the eaves, is a wooden slatted window. The southeast addition is an open cross-wing that forms a three-bay hay barn; the lower halves of the openings on the south side have been filled in, and the east gable has been reduced to the left. The primary block has four bays with chamfered collar trusses.
