Description

Hen-Ddol Farmhouse, dating from the 19th century, is a one-and-a-half storey building featuring a three-window front. It is constructed of whitened rubble and topped with a slate roof. The gable ends have parapets with overlapping slate coping, and the end chimneys have weather coursing, with the right chimney projecting slightly and featuring a wide gable. The entrance is near the centre and consists of a slightly recessed boarded door, flanked by modern six-pane casement windows. Above, there are similar four-pane casement windows set within rubble gabled dormers that break the eaves. A modern skylight is present on the rear roof pitch, along with a later catslide rubble extension.

Attached to the left and slightly lower is a near-contemporary single-storey rubble byre, which has an old slate roof on the front and a corrugated iron roof on the rear pitch. The entrance is off-centre on the right, featuring a projecting slate lintel and a 20th-century boarded door, with a vertical ventilation slit to the left. There is also a later rubble extension that is advanced to the left and stepped down, covered with a corrugated iron roof.

It was not possible to inspect the interior.
