St David's Church

St David's Church is a cruciform building designed in a restrained Tudor style, constructed of ashlar with slate roofs. It features coped, parapeted gables with broad kneelers and off-set finials, along with diagonal buttresses. The west end has a gabled bell-cote with an eroded slate dedication plaque below it. The church has deep hoodmoulds over Tudor-arched windows with cusped tracery, consisting of two lights on the nave sides and three lights at the east end and transepts. There are blind lancets with hoodmoulds at the gable apexes. A flat-topped gabled porch at the west entrance has a Tudor-arched entrance with boarded doors and a Gothic fanlight. There is another entrance to the north transept beneath a window, featuring a recessed boarded door. A lean-to vestry is located to the north, positioned between the chancel and the north transept, while a simpler lean-to is found on the east side of the south transept. The east end has a rubble plinth.

Inside, there are chamfered transverse beams supporting coved ceilings, with similar beams at the crossing. The east window contains good stained glass by Alexander Gibbs of London, dated August 23, 1873. The church features a Gothic octagonal wooden pulpit and a stone font with marble columns, which has been re-set in the north transept. The contemporary choir stalls have been relocated to the south transept, and there is a panelled and boarded vestry door.
