The building is a small single-storey structure, likely a former wash house or shop, dating from the 19th century. It is located at right angles to the right of Quay Cottage, with its gable end facing the street. The exterior is finished in rendered rubble and slate. There is a recessed, part-glazed Victorian door on the street-facing gable end, with a plain squat chimney positioned above it. On the west side wall, there is a 9-pane near-flush sash window.
