Description
The Former Stable Range at Plas Newydd is a rectangular gabled structure built from rubble, topped with a corrugated iron roof. It features slate-coped gable parapets with shaped kneelers and slightly coved eaves. The front has three bays, with a central entrance and flanking windows on the ground floor; the left window was previously an entrance. The windows are modern three-light casements. On the upper floor, there are three additional windows under the eaves, with the central window being larger and fitted with modern glazing, while the flanking windows are blocked with slate slabs. There is a similar blocked window on the right gable. A modern single-storey addition is located on the left side. At the rear, an original external flight of slatestone steps provides access to the first floor, leading to a plain, open entrance.
Inside, the space is plain, with replaced trusses and a removed floor, leaving visible cut beam ends in the walls.
