Description
Railway Lodge at the Ffestiniog Railway Crossing is a two-storey building constructed with slate stone elevations laid in thin, heavily mortared slabs. It features a slate roof that is hipped at the left end, wide boarded eaves, and rubble chimney stacks. The building has one window front and a boarded door positioned across the corner, which is splayed back to the ground floor only. On the left side, there is one window, and a single-storey cross range with a pebbledash gable end facing the road, which includes a chimney stack. The windows are primarily timber frame with small panes and metal casement openings, along with a later sash window on the left end and in the cross range. The right-hand gable end is finished in cement render, suggesting that the building may have originally extended further to the west.
