Description
Tanybryn is a pair of two-storey cottages designed for quarry workers, built in a rectangular plan and aligned roughly north-south, with the northern cottage being slightly larger than the southern one. The cottages are constructed from roughly coursed rubblestone and topped with a slate roof. Each cottage features recessed four-paned sash windows with slate cills on both floors, and they are flanked by recessed boarded doors that are sheltered by shallow flat-roofed porches made of slate slabwork, which have a simple moulded entablature. There are four chimneys in total, with two integrated into the gable ends and two located on the ridge. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
