Description
The house at Penarth-fawr is a dwelling built of flush-pointed rubble stonework with a slate roof. It features a west, central, and east gable-end stack. A lean-to addition extends from the rear of the building. The main entrance, now within a glazed lean-to porch, is on the east side and consists of a four-panelled door. There are three-light leaded windows serving the main living rooms on the right and left sides of the house. The first floor has twentieth-century sliding sash windows, although earlier windows are present at the rear. The interior layout and decorative details have been largely renewed; however, part of a former fireplace bressumer remains, bearing a late 17th-century date inscription.
