Description
Bwlch y ffordd isaf is a Grade II listed building constructed from local stone rubble, with some areas pebbledashed, and features slated roofs with deep soffits and eaves. It is two storeys high, with the main elevation facing south over the garden. The building has three bays, with the central bay projecting forward and featuring a steep gable and an arched entrance porch on the ground floor, which has a modern door.
There is a two-bay rear wing that includes an added porch on the west side and later infill in the northeast re-entrant angle. On either side of the porch, there are original timber windows on both floors. These windows consist of two slender chamfered mullions and transoms, with the lower central section featuring a six-pane rising sash that is designed to be pegged at the chosen height. Above the porch, there is a two-pane by five sash window. The windows are framed by red brick dressings on each side, although the front is covered with pebbledash. The building also has tall gable stacks made of blue brick, each topped with three closely set crenellated pots.
