Description
The Lodge is a Grade II listed building constructed with rubble and squared quoins, featuring upper masonry made of angular shaley ironstone. It has a slate roof with wooden soffits and decorative bargeboards, along with a central renewed brick chimney stack at the ridge. The front of the building is gabled and includes two upper late 19th-century 2-light latticed leaded casements with concrete lintels. The ground floor has two wide early to mid-19th-century 3-light casements with cast iron latticed glazing and Tudor labels. There is a central 20th-century door and a late 19th-century open timber porch supported by stop-chamfered posts, featuring an elliptical head and flat wooden pendants at the center and sides.
On the right elevation, there is a 20th-century door to the left with a concrete lintel, and to the right, a 2-light casement with cast iron latticed panes and a timber lintel. The left elevation features an early to mid-19th-century 3-light casement to the left with cast iron latticed panes, and a similar window to the right that has been reduced to two lights, both with Tudor labels. The rear of the building has two upper 2-light leaded windows similar to those at the front, along with a small ground floor window fitted with metal gauze.
