Description
The Village Hall and War Memorial gates and railings are notable structures featuring a village hall built from corrugated iron. It has a pitched roof and is a single storey with a broad six-bay front, where the end bays extend as matching porches. The hall includes four-pane, top-hung windows, and the porches also have four-pane windows. Inside the porches, there are boarded doors. A later addition is a corrugated iron lean-to on the left end. The right end of the hall has two windows flanking paired planked doors, while the rear features a timber extension on the right with a pitched corrugated iron roof and a rendered toilet block on the left.
The War Memorial gates and railings consist of dwarf stone walls topped with decorative iron half-railings, which are recessed in the center and feature an elaborate cast iron arch from 1925 that serves as the War Memorial. There are square openwork piers with a crested overthrow and bronze plaques on the head and sides, along with paired high iron gates. To the left, there is a simpler pair of iron gates with posts marked "T.Jones and Sons, Priory Foundry, Carmarthen. Coronation 1902." A datestone from 1924 is located to the right of the entry.
Inside the hall, the architecture is distinctive, featuring a large space with boarded walls and a boarded wagon roof that has thin ribs and a moulded wooden cornice, along with four-panelled doors.
