Description
Glyn Padarn is a building from the 20th century, designed in a plain classical style. It has two storeys and is constructed from painted roughly coursed rubblestone, topped with a hipped slate roof that features deep eaves. The front of the building has three bays, with 12-paned sash windows on the first floor, where the left and right windows have horns. The ground floor includes tripartite sashes, with the left window horned, flanking a central entrance that has a half-glazed door and a rectangular overlight, all sheltered by a 20th-century flat-roofed open-sided porch.
At the rear, there is a slightly higher gabled wing on the right, along with additional 20th-century extensions in the angle between the main building and the wing. The interior has been significantly altered, featuring a 20th-century staircase that replaced the original staircase in the narrow central hall. Some original elements remain, including plain cornices, panelled window shutters, and the ceiling arch at the foot of the staircase, although fire doors have replaced the original doors.
