Description
The property comprises three cottages built as a single range. They are constructed of squared local quarried stone laid in regular courses, with a graded slate roof with projecting eaves and three stone stacks, and include added skylights. No 1, a two-window cottage, adjoins the Market Hall on its left side. Its left-side entrance features a replacement half-glazed door, and the windows are replacement 12-pane hornless sashes. A one-storey rear wing extends from the rear of No 1, featuring an end stone stack and replaced windows. A visible vertical joint separates No 1 from the remainder of the row, indicating a later construction date for those cottages.
Nos 3-5 were originally two properties and feature a replacement boarded door positioned left of centre. A single window remains in its original opening to the left, while three altered windows on the right replaced a former shop front; these windows retain original slate lintels but now have later brick jambs. All lower-storey windows are modern. The upper storey has two small 12-pane sash windows. The rear of Nos 3-5 features replacement windows and an added dormer.
No 7 is a double-fronted cottage with a central half-glazed fielded-panel door with marginal glazing. The windows are 2-pane sashes with sills. Communal stone steps are located on the right side of No 7. The rear of No 7 has replacement doors and windows in the lower storey, and horizontal-sliding sashes in the upper storey. The cottages belong to a group with Nos 1-7 High Street, Tremadog.
