Description
The property comprises three cottages built as a single range on High Street, Tremadog. The cottages are constructed of squared local quarried stone laid in regular courses, with a graded slate roof featuring projecting eaves and added skylights, and three stone stacks. No 1, a two-window cottage, adjoins the Market Hall on its left side. It has a replacement half-glazed door on its left side, and replacement 12-pane hornless sash windows. A single-storey rear wing extends from the back of No 1, featuring an end stone stack and replaced windows. A vertical joint separates No 1 from the rest of the row, indicating a later build.
Nos 3-5, originally two properties, feature a replacement boarded door situated left of centre. A single window remains in its original opening to the left, while three altered windows to the right replace a previous shop front. These altered windows retain original slate lintels but have later brick jambs, and all ground floor windows are modern. The upper storey contains two small 12-pane sash windows. The rear of Nos 3-5 has replaced windows and an added dormer.
No 7 is a double-fronted cottage with a central half-glazed fielded-panel door with marginal glazing. The windows are two-pane sashes with sills, and communal stone steps are located on the right side. The rear of No 7 has replacement doors and windows in the lower storey, and horizontal-sliding sashes in the upper storey. These cottages belong to a group numbered 1-7 on High Street, Tremadog.
