Description
This is a short terrace of three 2-storey houses located at 9-13 High Street, Tremadog. The houses are built of squared, quarried stone laid in regular courses, with a slate roof and stone stacks.
No 9 is a double-fronted house. Rebuilt stone steps lead to the central entrance, which has a replacement glazed door. The windows have been replaced, although they are in the original openings, with the exception of a blind upper-storey window. A full-height vertical joint between Nos 9 and 11 indicates that they were constructed at different times. No 11 is a narrower, single-fronted house, with a replacement slate steps leading to the left-hand entrance, which has a replacement door and overlight. It has a 12-pane horned sash window in the lower storey and a 16-pane hornless sash window in the upper storey. No 13 is also double-fronted, with replacement slate steps leading to the central entrance containing a replacement half-lit boarded door and overlight. Its lower-storey windows are 12-pane horned sashes, while the upper-storey windows are 16-pane hornless sashes.
Communal stone steps are situated against the left-hand gable end of No 9. A rubble-stone lean-to with a corrugated iron roof is attached to the rear of No 9 and built into the steep cliff face. The buildings form part of a group with Nos 9-13 High Street, Tremadog. Not inspected.
