Description

This is a short terrace of three 2-storey houses located at 9-13 High Street, Tremadog. The houses are constructed of squared quarried stone laid in regular courses and have slate roofs with stone stacks.

No. 9 is a double-fronted house. Rebuilt stone steps lead to the central entrance, which has a replacement glazed door. The windows are replacements within original openings, although there is a blind central upper-storey window. A full-height vertical joint between Nos. 9 and 11 indicates that they were built at different times. No. 11 is a narrower, single-fronted house. The entrance, on the left side, is reached by replacement slate steps, leading to a replacement door and overlight. A 12-pane horned sash window is in the lower storey, and a 16-pane hornless sash window is in the upper storey. No. 13 is a double-fronted house with replacement slate steps leading to the central entrance and a replacement half-lit, boarded door beneath an overlight. It has 12-pane horned sash windows in the lower storey and 16-pane hornless sash windows in the upper storey.

Communal stone steps are positioned against the left gable end of No. 9. A rubble-stone lean-to with a corrugated iron roof has been built into the cliff face at the rear of No. 9. The houses form a group with Nos. 9-13 High Street, Tremadog.
